Smackdown is supposed to be the underdog and professional
wrestling-based mission statement, but a lot of the criticism post-draft came
in the form of downplaying just how talented WWE’s main roster is overall..
Even with John Cena, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton on the blue
brand, as well as beloved authority figures Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon, the
optimism just wasn’t there for Smackdown! There were a few lulls on the
apparatus on Raw.
What worked for Smackdown was the combination of Mauro Ranallo,
JBL and David Otunga. We don’t hate Michael Cole, Byron Saxton and Corey Graves
on Raw, but Smackdown’s trio deliver a more intelligently entertaining
broadcast.
The buzz on social media was louder for Raw, but
Smackdown deserves respect for producing an outstanding show.Subscribe us on Youtube for raw action: youtube.com/c/wespeakwwe
