Brock Lesnar made a return to the Octagon
tonight against long-time combat sports veteran, Mark Hunt, in the co-main
event of UFC 200 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and what a return
it was! It wasn't the Brock Lesnar of UFC 100, but it was enough to get the job
done. By the third round, Lesnar dug down and found something to unequivocally
earn the victory. He scored an early takedown and then spent the rest of the
round bullying Hunt from top position. All Hunt could do was ride out the storm
until the horn sounded.
"It took me a little while to get
acclimated," said Lesnar (6-3). "I'm so happy to be back here."
Some say that Lesnar will return to WWE bidding
goodbye to UFC forever and some say he is going to be back for another bout. One
thing is for certain: If Lesnar does return for another go-round, it will have
to be a BIG event. And there is nothing bigger left on the fight calendar than
the promotion's New York City debut at UFC 205 in Nov. 2016 right?
