Many of us are not aware that the
top end of the WWE Draft was originally scheduled to go much differently than
it ultimately did!
Brock Lesnar was at one point
slotted to go No. 1. Dean Ambrose was scheduled to be the next pick for
SmackDown, followed by Seth Rollins for RAW and then Cena for SmackDown.
This shows how highly WWE thought of
Lesnar prior to his second USADA drug test failure, but it remains to be seen
to what extent the company will push him going forward. The fact that he was
scheduled to be picked first overall proves how valuable he is to the WWE even
with his limited schedule. Another positive is that Lesnar’s drop from the
draft allowed performers like Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor and AJ Styles to be
drafted higher, which is only fair!
But who says WWE life is fair?
