Finn Balor Over Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler Push, John Cena Missing! New era? CHANGED era?

WWE rolled out their first week of programming after the WWEdraft and it proved to be a 180 degree change.  Finn Balor was introduced to the main roster on Monday Night Raw and he went on to book his place in the SummerSlam main event after getting a clean cut over Roman Reigns.

Dolph Ziggler was crowned the number one contender for the WWE championship of Dean Ambrose on SmackDown.

John Cena is no longer seen as someone who can carry the company forward like he did in the past. Newer stars like Seth Rollins ,Dean Ambrose ,Sami Zayn ,Kevin Owens and their growing popularity adds to it. What seems to be the way forward? Unsure about the new era it definitely is a changed era!

RAW deal : Finn Balor Replaces Roman Reigns In SummerSlam Main Event Against Seth Rollins

This is something that we had never thought of!

Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins was originally scheduled for the main event for SummerSlam but plans changed on last Monday. Initially Vince McMahon had planned on slotting Roman Reigns right back into the top spot on Raw, which would be a questionable decision given Reign’s recent suspension. But the audible and switch to Finn Balor was the right call.

Balor is the epitome of the type of superstars WWE should be pushing in the future. He is incredible in the ring, has charisma to die to and fans love him! Go Balor GOOO!

No NFL, no NBA, no hockey!! WWE, WWE and more WWE! WESPEAKWWE

The summer is typically the worst part of the sports calendar. There's no NFL, there's no NBA, there's not even any hockey. Yes, there's baseball and this year brings us the Olympics. Every year there is a lull in July and August.

This year, however, WWE is offering a solution to your boredom ... if you're willing though.
It was kind of overwhelming, especially coming off the "Battleground" pay-per-view this weekend. On top of that, it's not just Raw and SmackDown one has to watch each week. Wednesdays feature an hour of NXT (WWE's top-notch developmental show) and an hour of the CruiserweightClassic. Can be on overdose too!

Of course, there's no guarantee that WWE can sustain this momentum going forward. And with so much programming to fill, there will be dips here and there. But that is laterrr! For now it is WESPEAKWWE!

Is Dave Bautista coming back to WWE? SHOCKING

Taming wild animals is best left to trained professionals. Taming “The Animal” is another matter entirely. We have heard that WWE wants Dave back but the feeling apparently isn't mutual!

Bautista is talking that he doesnot want a come back due to his age. But again Goldberg sings a different tune right!

WWE SmackDown Live: Dolph Ziggler and Apollo Crews Move Up!

After Sunday's Battleground PPV surpassed all expectations to be the frontrunner for main roster Show of the Year, Monday's Raw was a fantastic reminder of how well this company can do the whole "flagship show" when it abandons 50-50 booking, long promos saying nothing, and genuinely surprising twists. Which is why SmackDown Live last night was disappointing!

That's not to say SmackDown Live's inaugural episode as its own brand was bad; it actually was a pretty enjoyable way to spend two hours watching wrestling. The problem is that we were promised a "New Era," and instead we got a reminder that SmackDown Live truly is the B-Show right now.

On the good: Apollo Crews looked more relevant last night than he had in almost a year of NXT and main roster shows. Of the six men in the main event battle royal, I would have put the most money on it NOT being Ziggler advancing to SummerSlam, but The Show Off has graduated from his endless feud against Big Banter Corbin into a honest-to-goodness main event at the second biggest show of the year.

Was Smackdown Live better than Monday Night RAW? Mixed reactions?

Smackdown is supposed to be the underdog and professional wrestling-based mission statement, but a lot of the criticism post-draft came in the form of downplaying just how talented WWE’s main roster is overall..

Even with John Cena, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton on the blue brand, as well as beloved authority figures Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon, the optimism just wasn’t there for Smackdown! There were a few lulls on the apparatus on Raw.
What worked for Smackdown was the combination of Mauro Ranallo, JBL and David Otunga. We don’t hate Michael Cole, Byron Saxton and Corey Graves on Raw, but Smackdown’s trio deliver a more intelligently entertaining broadcast.
The buzz on social media was louder for Raw, but Smackdown deserves respect for producing an outstanding show.

Brock Lesnar will not face WWE suspension for recent failed drug tests

Brock Lesnar will not face WWE suspension for recent failed drug tests

In his return to WWE three weeks after his first mixed martial arts appearance in nine years, Brock Lesnar will not be subject to any punishment or discipline from the sports entertainment company despite failing not one but two U.S. Anti-Doping Agency drug tests stemming from his participation in UFC 200.

A WWE spokesperson has confirmed to TMZ that WWE will not discipline Brock Lesnarwhatsoever for failing two different drug tests prior to his UFC 200 bout against Mark Hunt.

According to TMZ, the spokesperson stated that "only full-time WWE performers are subject to the organization's wellness policy, which prohibits PEDs ... but since Brock isn't a full-time performer, he's essentially exempt."

Roman Reigns returned at WWE Battleground and fans seemed to care about little else!

It was a match that revolved around The Shield as expected and perhaps the most significant WWE Championship match of the New Era, the majority of crowd reactions were directed at the returning, embattled top star.`

Chants of “Roman sucks,” which were acknowledged by WWEannouncers, filled the Verizon Center before the match even began. Cole described Reigns receiving “the ire” of the WWE Universe as the former three-time WWE champion returned to action.

This proves it takes a combination of temperament and talent to survive WWE punishments.

Roman Reigns' Failure, Brock Lesnar’s Plans and John Cena's Impact

Many of us are not aware that the top end of the WWE Draft was originally scheduled to go much differently than it ultimately did!

Brock Lesnar was at one point slotted to go No. 1. Dean Ambrose was scheduled to be the next pick for SmackDown, followed by Seth Rollins for RAW and then Cena for SmackDown.

This shows how highly WWE thought of Lesnar prior to his second USADA drug test failure, but it remains to be seen to what extent the company will push him going forward. The fact that he was scheduled to be picked first overall proves how valuable he is to the WWE even with his limited schedule. Another positive is that Lesnar’s drop from the draft allowed performers like Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor and AJ Styles to be drafted higher, which is only fair!

But who says WWE life is fair?

WWE Battleground Betting Odds Released: Who is favoured to Win the WWE Title?

The sportsbooks have determined the lines for this Sunday’s WWE Battleground PPV event. WWE Battleground 2016 takes place at a very pivotaltime for the company.

Battleground is a night of grudges, but it also falls at an intriguing time. The WWE Draft has just split the main roster (almost) right down the middle. People are perhaps expecting a run-of-the-mill show, but that doesn't mean there aren't surprises in store that could rock the boat. There is also some very strange booking going on with this match card that makes the future seem somewhat questionable.  Of the 8 matches booked for the show, only three have pairings that will be staying together on the same brand once the shows officially splits the following evening on RAW.  Essentially most of the feuds that are being showcased at Battleground will effectively end when the matches conclude.

Even with so many good things ending, Battleground still, on paper, looks like a solid show.www.youtube.com/c/wespeakwwe

John Cena opens up on Brock Lesnar’s failed drug tests

John Cena was the guest on last night’s ESPN Off the Top Ropesegment on SportsCenter.

Cena called last night’s WWE Draft a historic night for WWE, and quoted that it’s the best time for WWE right now since the company has never had a roster like it currently does.

He said, “Well, there was certainly a lot of hype. I was actually on SportsCenter hyping that fight myself. My thoughts were in Brock Lesnar’s corner, as he was put as the underdog in that fight, and he ended up doing well. Anytime something like that comes out, it certainly affects your perception of the event. There’s no way people aren’t going to perceive BrockLesnar differently, and when something like this happens, you set yourself a long, hard road ahead of you, and Brock’s got a long, hard road ahead of him.”

Watch out for Battleground andddd Ambrose, Rollins, Reigns, Ryder, Rusev, Miz and manyyy more!!

The next PPV on the schedule is the Battleground on July 24th at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. This will be the fourth event to use the name as the annual July showcase heading into SummerSlam.

This looks like a card worth sitting through three hours for. WWEhas done a great job of building up blood feuds with intense rematches and new championship contenders. All three former members of The Shield will step into the ring to compete in a Triple Threat Match. The victor of this bout will walk into the new live RAW/SmackDown as the undisputed Champion. Ambrose will defend his championship against Rollins and Reigns. Also on deck are two big midcardchampionship bouts: The Miz vs. Darren Young and Rusev vs. Zach Ryder. Before we get to SummerSlam 2016, let us witness those climactic battles during this July event.

We feel Rollins will be and should be the one emerging like a falcon…more to come on this…

Brock Lesnar’s potential suspension, implications on SummerSlam and statement by WWE

UFC was informed early in the day today of a potential out-of-competition violation by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), stemming from a test taken before Brock Lesnar’s fight at UFC 200.

Will Brock Lesnar be penalized by WWE for his USADA drug-test failure is the question on the mind of all WWE lovers.

WWE released a statement regarding Lesnar's anti-doping violation on Friday night stating "Brock Lesnar has not performed for WWE since WrestleMania and is not scheduled to return until Sunday, August 21.

We donot know what the test popped for, and because of the nature of UFC as a private organization, unless Lesnar wants to reveal it himself we may never know.

Another angle is that New York remains a commissioned state under the jurisdiction of the NYSAC, which is one the last remaining places that still regulates pro wrestling. This is all extremely speculative at this point. Watch out for more!

Brock Lesnar challenged by Rusev? Dana White and WWE comment

Some people reported that Brock Lesnar had been challenged by current WWE United States champion Rusev to fight at ÜFC. It may have found the origin in the tweet by Rusev, 30, also known by his old ring name of Alexander Rusev stating “I will fight BROCK, in a ring or an Octagon I don’t care!

WWE was quick to issue a statement saying :  “Brock Lesnarremains under contract to WWE, however, he has been granted a one-off opportunity to compete at UFC 200. Following this milestone event on July 9, Brock will return to WWE for Summerslam on Sunday, August 21, live on WWENetwork.”

It has also been reported that the fallout of this rumor has been the banning for life of the reported for reporting unsubstantiated things. It might look at a curb to journalism but again responsible journalism will not get involved in reporting rumors too!

#BrockLesnar HAS to defeat #RandyOrton at the #SummerSlam post the #UFC200 victory

Brock Lesnar didn’t only beat the premiere UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt, he embarrassed him too at the UFC200. Doing that he also raked in a cool 2.5million USD!

WWE could not have hoped for a better scenario for heading into its highly promoted SmackDown to be broadcast on July 19. In fact, WWE’s only concern is that Lesnar did too well and may contemplate a full-time return to UFC’s suspect heavyweight division.

With Brock Lesnar at an all-time high, he needs to be showcased in a way similar to his one-sided victory over John Cena at SummerSlam 2014. Then what about Randy Orton? Will he be presented like an underdog who is on the defensive throughout? That is also going to be BAD for Orton as he is staring at a full time return. With this catch22 VinceMcMohan will have no option but to present Lesnar as a conquering, returning WWE Superstar. Let’s wait and watch the path for Orton!

#BrockLesnar winning #UFC200 can spell bad news for #WWE??

Brock Lesnar made an emphatic return to the MMA Company at UFC200, beating Mark Hunt in a signature win. Having got a taste of cage fighting again and knowing he can be great within UFC, it puts his regular employer WWE in a tight spot.

Lesnar is under contract with WWE and works a part-time schedule and is next set to appear at the company’s “SummerSlam” in August. It is impossible to believe that Lesnar is going to be booked to lose against Orton after such a strong showing at “UFC 200.” While MMA is a sport and wrestling is entertainment, Lesnar’s portrayal as a hard to beat guy is going to increase.

That’s bad news for Orton and WWE as a whole because after “SummerSlam,” Lesnar will most likely be going away, possibly until 2017’s “Royal Rumble.” Orton, on the other hand, will be returning to WWE full-time, appearing on either “Raw” or “Smackdown.” After such a high-profile loss, how much will his return mean?

Life gets complicated for WWE when it comes to them contracting part-time superstars!
