Cody Rhodes has left WWE after the company agreed to release him from his contract.
"WWE has come to terms on the release of Cody Rhodes as of today, May 22, 2016," said a statement on WWE.com. "WWE wishes Rhodes the best in all his future endeavors."
Rhodes, the son of the late WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, debuted in 2007 and won the Intercontinental Championship twice during his near 10-year stint on WWE's main roster.
