Jerry "The King" Lawler was arrested on the charges of Domestic violence in Memphis, Tennessee..
Lawler, 66, and McBride, 27, who have lived together for the last five years, got into an argument on Thursday after the WWE star returned to their Memphis, Tennessee home from an event ironically titled 'A Night In The Slammer'.
Both him and his girlfriend were both taken into custody on charges of domestic assault, with each claiming the other had assaulted them.The two told different stories to investigators, which is why both were arrested until facts could be cleared up. McBride said that Lawler was the aggressor, accusing Lawler of hitting her on the head and pushing her against a stove.
“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Jerry Lawler has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest,” the company said in a statement. Besides the announcement of his suspension, WWE hadn't made any comments regarding Lawler or his role on the commentary team but The King is sure to miss time!
